Keynote lecture by Purificación López-García: Newly identified microbial diversity: refining life limits and the Tree of Life
The day featured a rich scientific program structured around three thematic sessions, showcasing the diversity and excellence of research conducted within the MICROB’UP network.
A highlight of the symposium was the keynote lecture by Purificación López-García (CNRS, Université Paris-Saclay), who presented her latest work on newly identified microbial diversity and its implications for defining the limits of life and refining the Tree of Life.
We were also delighted to welcome Etienne FORMSTECHER from GMT Science and Christophe PANNETIER from BforCure to discuss opportunities for innovation and partnerships within the MICROB’EX network during the round table : “Collaborate to Innovate Dialogue Between Academia and Industry”.
Throughout the day, researchers presented their work during the poster session, which fostered lively discussions between participants. At the end of the session, the Best Poster Prize for early career-researcher was awarded to Zoé FRÉMONT-DEBAENE for her poster entitled “How HRV16 puts the breaks on macrophage cytokines secretion”.
