The Institut Cochin symposium ‘Long COVID and other Post-Acute Infections: from symptoms to mechanisms’ will be held on December 5, 2025 in Paris.
The meeting will bring together world specialists in various post-acute infectious syndromes, including and beyond the long COVID ones. Subjects will start from up-to-date description of clinical symptoms followed by exposition of the various main mechanisms behind post-acute infection, including viral persistence, immune dysregulation, neuropathogenesis, mitochondrial dysfunctions. Of note, the importance of gender in this post-acute infection will be addressed. A final session will address advances in biomarker research.
