I lead the RNA Biology of Fungal Pathogens unit at the Institut Pasteur in Paris, France. The unit theme of research is centered on the study of the Cryptococcus transcriptome. Over the recent years, we have studied different aspects of the transcriptome structure and dynamic in these pathogenic yeasts. We have thus implemented several RNA sequencing strategies to construct very detailed and precise annotation of three references genomes. We have also been interested in the role of introns in the regulation of gene expression.  We also used this set of data to study the transcriptome plasticity including alternative splicing regulation and alternative TSS usage regulation.  More recently, we develop several project on extracellular vesicles studying of course the extracellular vesicles transcriptome but also their structure, diversity as well as their biosynthetic pathway, roles in drug resistance and virulence in pathogenic fungi.
