PRESENTATION

Created in 2021, Microb’UP Institute aims to strengthen exchanges between researchers from Paris Cité University, the Pasteur Institute and, in the near future, the National veterinary school of Alfort, within a multidisciplinary community interested in microbiology and infectious diseases.

MICROB’UP brings together nearly 500 researchers and students in 92 research teams spread across 20 units. By uniting this community, the institute constitute a genuine breeding ground for the development of ambitious inter-institutional collaborative projects and research strategies in microbiology.

A momentum illustrated by the selection in 2025 of the MICROB’EX project among the IdEx initiatives of Université Paris Cité. A true flagship of the Microb’UP Hors Mur Institute, this project, which aims to better understand the role of microorganisms in our lives and in our ecosystems, now contributes, among other things, to supporting the scientific activities of the IHM.
